XS-Speed Intercooler kit for Greddy Turbo
Before deciding to design our own intercooler system we looked at what was about. At one end, there were high quality
intercooler kits being made in the U.S, but being sold for over $1000 and at the other end of the scale were some
very poor quality kits utilising second hand intercoolers from ebay. On examining these intercooler kits we found they had
rubbing issues in various parts of the pipework and the power steering belt and routed the pipework under the radiator so were prone to damage from
grounding. The mounting system was also poor with excessive use of cable ties and excess rubber hose to make it fit.
Our intercooler kit has been designed to be of very high quality but at a more affordable price. We've chosen a beautifully made
alloy intercooler with a core of 11" * 9" * 3" which we believe is just about the right size to allow 10
to 12psi to be run safely.
As far as pipe work goes, we've decided to make the kit to fit non-a/c cars, so that we can run the pipework around the sides of the
radiator without having to have too many bends. The pipework is made from stainless steel and gives a great look as well as the benefits of
metal pipework in helping to dispel some of the heat from the turbo.

Fitting requires clocking the turbo and comes with a new bracket for the wastegate, since the intercooler pipe connects directly beneath the turbocharger. This approach has several advantages. It means the intercooler path is much simpler with less bends giving better flow and power. The other advantage is that it frees up space in front of the turbo that can be used to relocate the air filter if you want to. Silicon hose joints and jubilee clips included.
